Demand for leadership change at KPCC executive

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leaders came under attack at the KPCC camp executive held on Saturday.

Senior leader A. K. Antony, KPCC President V. M. Sudheeran, Oommen Chandy and others faced severe criticism from younger members. There was also call for a generation change in leadership and change in style of functioning of the party. Corrupt people lacking credibility was in the leadership. Leaders like Antony were keeping silence on issues while the Central leadership was even incapable of organising an agitation.

The Executive spend a day analysing the election results and future course of action for the party. Members felt that the abkari policy of the UDF government had gone wrong. The controversial Cabinet decisions taken just before the elections and corruption affected party’s prospects.  The party did not have secular image.
