THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPPC President V. M. Sudheeran said here today that the party would discuss the demand for resignation of Finance Minister K. M. Mani over bar-bribery case after the elections to local bodies.
All matters needed to strengthen the support base of the party would be discussed, considering political proprieties. The KPCC office bearers will meet on November 11 and the Executive the next day, Mr. Sudheeran told the media.
Meanwhile, CPI (M) leader Thomas Isaac said that no discussion had ever taken place to make Mr. Mani the Chief Minister if he changed allegiance. Rejecting former Government Chief Whip P. C. George’s statement in this regard, Dr. Isaac said that the CPI (M) policy was opposed to engineering defections to come to power.
