Cabinet approves draft white paper on finances

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday approved the draft white paper on the financial position of the State.

The white paper will be presented to the Assembly on Thursday.

The Cabinet decided to take over four schools which had been closed down under orders from the courts. The schools are AUPS, Malapparambu, Kozhikode; AUPS, Palott, Kozhikode; PMLFS, Veloor, Thrissur and AMLPS, Mangattumuri, Malapppuram.

It also decided to legally terminate the services of non-official members of government owned companies, boards and corporations. Ex-officio members will be allowed to continue till the end of their term.

Advocate G. Prakash will be appointed as standing council of the government in the Supreme Court.
