Beleaguered Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed got a reprieve from High Court on Friday.
Single Bench P. Ubaid stayed the order of the Thrissur Enquiry Commissioner and Special Judge (Vigilance) S. S. Vasan to register a case against Mr. Chandy and Mohammed, in view of disclosures by accused in the solar scam Saritha S. Nair before the Judicial Commission enquiring into the solar scam.

Vice Chairman of Kerala Higher Education Council T. P. Sreenivasan was manhandled by one of the SFI activists protesting against Global Education Meet at Kovalam on Friday.
Mr. Sreenivasan sustained minor injuries and he resting at a house of a friend near Kovalam.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday approved building of 1.75 lakh houses under the Housing for All scheme for BPL families and other low income groups with or without land.
Apartments will be built for 75000 the landless families. For 75000 families with land, loans will be provided with interest subsidy. Besides, 22000 houses will be built for the poorest of poor with one house in each ward.
