Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided to reduce fares of KSRTC ordinary bus services by Rs. 1 per trip in view of fall in diesel prices.
Accordingly, the minimum fare will come down from Rs. 7 to Rs. 6. Rates for other fare stages will also drop by Rs. 1. The lowering of fares will not apply to fast passenger and other premium services.

The Opposition disrupted the proceedings of Kerala Assembly for the second day today over alleged bribery charges against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and ministers.
The Opposition moved into the well of the House and staged a dharna there, forcing the Speaker to rush through the day’s proceedings and adjourn the House.

AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi said here on Tuesday that the Congress would not compromise on corruption.
If there is an iota of concrete evidence of corruption, the party would take action, the vice president said while inaugurating the valedictory of the Janaraksha Yatra led by KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran.

The Opposition stormed into the well of the Assembly over solar scam, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House for a while on Tuesday.
The Opposition demanded that the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should resign over the allegations of bribe-taking against him. Though the Opposition had given notice for moving an adjournment motion to discuss the scam, the Speaker denied permission.

Kerala Assembly on Monday paid tributes to its former Speaker A. C. Jose who died last month (January 23).
Making an obituary reference, Speaker N. Sakthan recalled that Jose was an able Parliamentarian, devoted trade unionist and fearless journalist.
