Thiruvananthapuram: The second session of the Assembly beginning on September 26 will have 29 sittings, stretching into November.
As per the calendar of sittings published by the Legislature Secretariat, the session will continue till November 10. However, there will be a week’s break in the second week of October to coincide with Mahanavami and Muharram.

The Central government has sought report from the Kerala government on the bomb attack on BJP State office here yesterday.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh called Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan on Thursday to express his concern over the attack on the BJP office after State BJP Chief Kummanam Rajasekharan complained to him.

Kerala Assembly will meet from September 26. The Cabinet recommended convening of the session to the Governor on Wednesday.
The House will consider Bill to amend the Kerala Devaswom Recruitment Board Act besides full budgetary demands for grants for this year. The amendment proposes changes in the structure of the Devaswom Recruitment Board.

Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided to award the consultancy for preliminary works of light metro projects in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
This will be subject to conditions. The consultancy for the entire project will be entrusted to the DMRC upon receipt of clearance from the Centre.

Police resorted to lathicharge and water guns as youth congress protesters barged into the Secretariat compound on Monday.
The Youth Congress workers were protesting over the policies of the government with respect to the self-financing professional colleges.
